I went for lunch with former colleagues, but since our planned spot hadn’t opened yet, we pivoted to a nearby Yakiniku restaurant, which turned out to be a serendipitous discovery.
半個室のゆったりした空間で、ご飯おかわり自由の焼肉定食が1500円。リーズナブルながら満足度は高く、昔話にも大いに花が咲いた。
For a reasonable 1,500 yen, we enjoyed a semi-private room and unlimited rice, allowing us to relax and catch up on old times without being disturbed.
彼らはかつての上司がいる会社へ転職し、年収も上がるという。正直その待遇は羨ましいが、開発職に戻る気がない私には、そこは目指すべき場所ではない。
They are moving to a company managed by our former boss with a significant salary increase; while I feel a slight twinge of envy, I have no desire to return to a development role.
私が望むのは、今のジョブディスクリプション(職務記述書)を維持したままのキャリアアップ。開発以外の専門性を武器に、自分のペースで価値を高めていきたい。
My strategy is to stick to my current job description; I want to find an employer who values my current function but offers better compensation, rather than changing my profession.
最終的なゴールである「国境なき医師団」への参加を見据え、今は焦らず技術と英語を磨き、着実に実力を蓄えていくつもりだ。
With my ultimate goal being to join Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), I will continue honing my technical skills and English proficiency to make that dream a reality.
