Ramen Rituals, Hair Removal, and the Quest for the Perfect Pre-Treatment Meal

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

Yesterday was hair removal day. My unshakable ritual is to pump Jiro-style ramen into my system right before the appointment. However, I miscalculated the time and had to settle for a shop near the office instead of my favorite, “Butayama.”

The “Large Tsukemen” I relied on was underwhelmingly small. Heading into the procedure without my stomach pushed to the limit felt like marching into battle unarmed.

I realized painfully that the violent volume and garlic punch are essential; they provide the grit needed to withstand the agony of the laser.

I swear to learn from this regret. Next time, I will get to “Butayama” at all costs and only face the challenge after I am fully primed with my usual bowl.

To be continued.
