Hair Removal Journey: Redefining Goals and Embracing Imperfection

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

I went into my fourth full-body hair removal session this weekend with thorough preparation. I thought I had grown accustomed to the routine, but the intensity of the laser proved me wrong.

While the pain in the VIO area has thankfully subsided, the laser strikes on my beard and arms remain as formidable as ever. I am holding onto the nurse’s assurance that “less hair means less pain,” but I have yet to feel that benefit.

Enduring the agony, I found myself questioning whether aiming for “perfectly smooth” skin is truly necessary. Now at the halfway mark, I have decided to stop fixating on my initial target.

Instead of demanding perfection as compensation for the pain, I want to find a reasonable “landing point” where my body and mind feel satisfied.

The second half of this journey will not just be an endurance test. It is a new beginning to define a goal that I can genuinely accept, rather than blindly following the original plan.

To be continued.
