妹家族を連れて近くの市立公園へ花見をしに行ってきた。
We went to the city park near our apartment for cherry blossom viewing.
クルマを借りても中途半端になってしまうので、今日は公園まで歩いた。ベビーカーなしで歩いていくのは初めて。途中、トイレが行きたくなったので、公共の建物でトイレを借りて無事についた。
Although I used a rental car, it wasn’t enough to get us all the way there, so we decided to walk to the park. This was our first time walking to the park without a stroller.
まずは、いつも通りのゴーカートで遊ぶ。遊びながら待っていると、妹家族と妻が到着したので、追加で一度だけゴーカートに乗って、花見へ。時間もまだ早かったので、いいところを確保でき、みんなで座って、妻が作った弁当を食べた。
On the way, both my son and I needed to use the bathroom, so we stopped at city hall before continuing on to the park.
少し肌寒いけど、天気はとてもよく絶好のお花見日和だし、子供たちは公園で走り回って楽しそうにしていた。いい休日になった。お金を使うだけが休みじゃないなと思った。
Once we arrived, we first rode the go-kart, as usual. While we were playing at the park, my wife and my sister’s family also arrived, and we took another turn on the go-kart before starting the cherry blossom viewing. Since we moved to the viewing spots before lunchtime, we were able to secure a good spot and enjoyed a lovely lunch made by my wife.
Although it got a little chilly when the wind picked up, the weather was mostly sunny and perfect for cherry blossom viewing. Our children had a great time playing at the park. It was a wonderful weekend, and I realized we can have a great time without spending much money.
