You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
I went to my local bank today to get a copy of my account history. When they handed it to me, it looked just like a simple Excel spreadsheet printout, which made me a bit worried about its legal validity.
However, the bank staff assured me that it was an officially valid document, so I decided to take their word for it. They initially told me it might take a few hours to prepare, but they ended up printing it for me right on the spot, which was a nice surprise.
The main problem, though, is that the most crucial transaction I needed wasn’t listed on the history. I was looking for the record of a large sum of money I received from my parents as an early inheritance to use as a down payment for my house.
I have the mortgage statement that shows I used the funds for the down payment, but there’s no official proof that the money actually came from my parents in the first place. The bank told me they couldn’t provide any further documentation for that specific transfer.
The staff did mention that if a lawyer or a judge were involved, it would likely be acceptable. So, I guess in the worst-case scenario, I might have to bring a legal professional with me. For now, I’m just trying to feel like I’ve made some progress with what I have.
To be continued.
