今の会社が契約している弁護士先生たちとのランチ。
I had lunch with the lawyers who work with my current company.
弁護士の方とご飯に行く機会なんて、ほとんどないからとても貴重な機会と言える。
Since I don’t often have the opportunity to have lunch with lawyers, it was a valuable experience for me.
お二人ともわたしより若いのに、毎日忙しく働いていて、その内の１人は、１週間に一度、徹夜をするそう。
Both of them are younger than me and are always busy. One of them works late into the night once a week.
わたしなんか、そこまで仕事はおろか、勉強すらしたことがないのに、彼らは一生懸命に頑張っている。
In my case, I’ve never experienced working or studying like that, but they are doing their best almost every day. Because of that, I don’t want to fall behind. I don’t know when I’ll have the chance to see them again, but I don’t want to feel inferior when I do.
なので、わたしも負けてられない。次に会う機会があるかわからないけど、いずれにしても、彼らと会って卑下しない自分でいたい。幸い、わたしは本業でそこまで追い込まれていないので、その分、副業や勉強に時間をあてたい。もし、時間が合うようならば、彼らとまた会って話をしてみたい。
Fortunately, I’m not super busy with my work right now, so I want to dedicate my time to my side hustles and studies. If I get the chance, I’d love to talk to them again.
