Final Hokkaido Trip: Shinkansen Work, Snow, and a Satisfying Sauna Escape

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

Today was my final business trip to Hokkaido with my current company.

I took the Shinkansen instead of a plane. The four-hour journey to Hokkaido gave me a chance to focus on my work and side hustles, and I dedicated myself to my tasks today.

It was very cold in Hokkaido, with snow piled up, even in April. The business trip coincided with rainy weather, but I still managed to complete my final work at the site.

I stayed at a hotel in Hakodate and picked up a famous stir-fried chicken lunch box, which I enjoyed. Normally, on business trips, I tend to have a big meal, but this time, I opted for a simpler dinner.

Since I had some spare time, I decided to spend it in the sauna. I don’t remember how many times I alternated between the sauna and the cold water bath, but it really helped to ease my stress. Honestly, I was more satisfied with the sauna than with dinner tonight.

To be continued.
