今日は思い切って休みを取って、ずっと溜め込んでいた用事を片付けてきた。一番の目的は免許の更新で、ずっと行かなきゃと思いつつも後回しになっていたんだ。
I took a day off today to finally catch up on some personal errands that I’d been putting off for a while. My main goals were to renew my driver’s license and visit the bank for some paperwork.
天気が悪かったり仕事がめちゃくちゃ忙しかったりで、なかなかタイミングが合わなかった。だからもう、この日のために休みを取って朝一番で更新センターへ向かった。
I’d been meaning to get my license renewed for ages, but I could never find the right time. It was always either bad weather, or I was completely swamped with work, so I just decided to dedicate a whole day to it.
免許更新を済ませたその足で銀行にも寄って、必要だった過去の取引履歴も全部手に入れることができた。これで大きな山を越えた感じで、すごくホッとしている。
I went to the license center first thing in the morning, and right after that, I headed to the bank to get all the past transaction records I needed. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
あとは、期限がある用事といえばもう一つの銀行に行くだけになった。ただ、そのためには以前勤めていた会社に一度連絡を取らないといけないのが少し面倒だったりする。
Now, the only major time-sensitive task I have left is a trip to another bank. The only catch is that I have to contact my former company first to proceed, which honestly feels like a bit of a hassle.
正直ちょっと気乗りしないけど、これも後で後悔しないように早めに済ませてしまいたい。まずは、元同僚の友人に連絡して会社の連絡先を聞くことから始めようと思う。
I’m not really looking forward to making that call, but I know I need to get it over with soon so I don’t regret it later. My first step will be to reach out to a friend from my old job to get the right contact information.
