Takamatsu Ramen Adventure: Dantotsu Tsukemen Experience and Mixed Impressions

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

For dinner in Takamatsu tonight, I went to a Jiro-style ramen shop called Dantotsu Ramen that a friend recommended. I was really looking forward to it.

The branch near my hotel was closed for long-term renovations, which was a bit of a letdown. I ended up walking about 15 minutes to their other location.

When I arrived at 7 p.m., during peak dinner time, I was surprised to find it wasn’t busy at all. I got a seat right away without any waiting, which was great.

Since I had already eaten a bento box, I wasn’t super hungry. I ordered the medium-sized tsukemen with extra veggies, less garlic, and extra back fat.

While the fish-based broth and firm pork were tasty, the soup bowl was too small, making it a hassle to eat. Overall, it was a decent meal but felt a bit in-between.

To be continued.
