I visited “Pancho,” a place famous for its hearty pasta, with some friends I spent time with in Egypt.
一番大きなサイズに挑戦したけれど、想像より控えめで少し拍子抜けしたし、現金のみの支払いで大好物のハムカツを諦めたのも心残りだ。
I challenged myself to their largest portion, but it was slightly underwhelming, and I regretted missing out on the ham cutlets due to the cash-only policy.
その後はいつもの落ち着く店でシーシャを吸いながら、エジプト時代の思い出や近況について、時間を忘れるほど語り合った。
Afterward, we moved to our usual shisha spot and lost track of time reminiscing about our days in Egypt and catching up on our current lives.
結局、新しい店を巡るよりも、気心の知れたメンバーと馴染みの場所で過ごすひとときが、今の私には一番心地いい。
In the end, I realized that familiar surroundings with trusted companions are far more rewarding than exploring somewhere new.
少し帰りは遅くなってしまったけれど、美味しい食事と尽きない会話のおかげで、最高のストレス発散になった。
Though the night ran late, the great food and endless conversation were exactly what I needed to decompress.
