仕事において「スピード感」がいかに重要かを改めて痛感した一日で、人に任せるとどうしても速度が落ちてしまうというジレンマに直面した。
Today was a stark reminder of how critical speed is in business, especially when delegating tasks that inevitably slow down once they leave my hands.
全ての案件を全力疾走でこなすのは無理だからこそ見極めが肝心なのに、今日はその判断を誤ってしまい、上司からの指摘を受けて慌ててギアを入れ替えた。
Recognizing that I can’t handle every single project at full throttle, I realized I had misjudged the priority of a specific task until my supervisor pointed it out.
後輩に振っていたタスクをあえて自分が引き取り、自ら対応することにしたけれど、やはり同じ熱量とスピードを他人に求めるのは難しいと再確認した。
I made the difficult call to reclaim a project I’d previously assigned to a junior colleague, as the pace and direction weren’t aligning with our immediate needs.
違和感に気づきながら「見て見ぬふり」をしていた自分の甘さも反省点であり、適切なタイミングで軌道修正するスキルの未熟さを突きつけられた気分だ。
I regret that I initially turned a blind eye to the subtle red flags, knowing deep down that a course correction was necessary much earlier in the process.
今回の失敗を糧にして、次からは「自分でやるべきか任せるべきか」の判断基準をより研ぎ澄ませ、一にも二にもスピードを意識して動いていきたい。
Moving forward, I intend to sharpen my intuition regarding what to delegate and what to handle personally, keeping “speed” as my top priority at all times.
