Fried Bread Stroll: Nostalgia, English Learning, and a Sweet Escape

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

It was a perfect day for a walk, and heading out in the morning proved to be the right call as I managed to snag one of the last three fried bread rolls.

The round trip took exactly an hour—a perfect distance for light exercise—and it served as an ideal time to immerse myself in English studies, killing two birds with one stone.

While the price has doubled since my last visit, the 200 yen was a small price to pay for such satisfaction, and I savored the nostalgic flavor during my early afternoon meeting.

It is interesting how I never cared much for fried bread during my school days, yet now I find myself craving its simple sweetness more than ever.

I plan to turn this “fried bread stroll” into a regular habit, combining physical activity and language learning with a small, delicious reward to keep myself motivated.

To be continued.
