妹家族のところでBBQ。
I went to a BBQ party at my sister’s house.
わたしたちの両親と、わたしの家族が集まっての恒例のBBQ。去年のようにとても暑くはならず、ちょうどいいBBQ日和になった。
My family and my parents gathered there, as this is an annual event for us. Last year it was scorching hot, so it was nice that today was just warm and pleasant for a BBQ.
去年の反省から、食材を全体的に減らしたけれども、結果して余った。
Based on our reflection from the last party, we reduced the amount of food, but we still had some leftovers.
途中、雨が降ったこともあり、結果して、また終日お世話になってしまった。とくに、夜ご飯もみんなで近くの寿司屋へ行ってきた。前回思ったけど、終日いるのは相手にも迷惑がかかるので、次回からはなるべく夕方までには退散するようにしたい。
It started raining halfway through, so we ended up staying at their house for the rest of the day. For dinner, all of us went to a nearby sushi restaurant. Last time, I was a bit concerned that staying until night would inconvenience my sister’s family, so next time I’ll make sure to leave by the evening.
BBQの片付けなど、やることもあると思うので、あまり相手をかけないようにし、今後も続けられるような関係を維持したい。
Holding a BBQ comes with clean-up tasks like washing the grill grate. I don’t want to cause them any trouble, and I hope our BBQ tradition continues for many years.
