You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
My son and I hopped on the Karasuyama Line train.
I suggested we ride a train just for fun, and when I asked him which line he wanted to take, he requested the Karasuyama Line. So, we rode it all the way to the last station.
To meet his request of watching the train driver’s seat, I carried him on my back for the entire 90-minute round trip. So, this trip ended up being less about riding the train and more about carrying my son! However, I know these requests from him will fade in a few years, so I accepted his offer for the whole ride.
The Karasuyama Line train chugged along at about 60 kilometers per hour, which isn’t super fast compared to other trains. The rhythmic sounds from the short rails excited both of us, and my son intently watched the driver’s actions from my back.
Today’s trip was a great memory for both of us. Even though we just rode the train today, I spotted a ramen shop and a roadside station at intermediate stops, so it might be a good idea to get off the train and visit them next time.
To be continued.
