Sendai Business Trip: Beef Tongue, Ramen, and Unforgettable Memories

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

For a greeting to the stakeholders I’m working with, I had drinks with stakeholders from the subcontractors in Sendai. Although I wasn’t sure whether I should do the greetings or not, I decided to go ahead with it because I wanted to.

We had dinner at a famous restaurant known for its beef tongue rice with soup. I love the soup because it’s served with the stir-fried beef tongue set.

After dinner, we went for ramen as usual. Originally, we were supposed to visit a local ramen shop, but we found that the famous ramen shop branch from Akita Prefecture, called Suehiro, was empty. They recommended we eat there, since it’s rare for the shop to be empty at that time.

The ramen shop we chose serves all-you-can-eat green onions, so naturally, my expectations for the ramen were high. The ramen had thin noodles and a strong soy sauce-based broth. Unfortunately, it wasn’t my favorite type of ramen, but it was still a good memory from this trip. I’ll try the ramen I originally wanted to eat next time.

To be continued.
