King-Ken Dandan Noodles, Spicy Challenges, and a Dipping Noodle Quest

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

Continuing from yesterday, tonight’s dinner was again Dandan noodles without broth at King-Ken. I really loved their noodles when I had them last year.

I didn’t expect to visit the same restaurant two nights in a row, but it turned out to be the right decision—I was very satisfied with the ramen. This time, I was more satisfied with the flavor than the portion size.

I learned my lesson from yesterday. I had ordered the noodles with spice level 3, but it wasn’t quite spicy enough for me. So today, I went with level 4. The shop’s sign described level 4 as “truly spicy,” which is why I didn’t try it yesterday. But now that I know their spice levels, I decided to give it a shot.

It was the right choice. The noodles were definitely spicier than yesterday’s, and I really enjoyed the heat. All in all, I was happy with the ramen again today.

Finally, I’m planning to go to the dipping noodle shop tomorrow. To make sure I can enjoy it to the fullest, I’ll be skipping lunch.

To be continued.
