いつもの公園で貨物列車を眺めて遊んだ後、今年初となる焼肉ランチへ行った。
After watching freight trains at our usual park, we went for our first Yakiniku lunch of the year.
注文はいつものコース…のはずが、途中から頼んだ覚えのないメニューが次々と運ばれてきた。最初は店のミスかと思ったが、なんと子供がタッチパネルで勝手に注文していたのだ。
Mid-meal, dishes I didn’t recall ordering started arriving one after another. I thought it was a service error, but I realized my child had been secretly placing orders on the tablet.
驚きはしたが、これは良い機会だ。食べながら「注文したものは残さず食べる責任」と「食べ物の大切さ」を教え、今後は二人で確認してから注文ボタンを押すというルールを決めた。
Instead of just scolding, I treated this as a teachable moment. I explained the importance of not wasting food—”you eat what you order”—and established a new rule to double-check orders together.
思わぬハプニングだったが、結果として生きた教育ができたと思う。美味しいお肉と子供の成長、この両方を味わえる焼肉ランチは、これからも我が家の欠かせない習慣になりそうだ。
Although it was a bit chaotic, it turned out to be a valuable lesson in food appreciation. I definitely want to keep this family tradition of Yakiniku lunches alive.
