I was nearly pressured into paying a second time, which would have essentially doubled the cost of my meal and ruined the entire experience.
もし倍の金額を払っていたら、せっかくのお得なランチが台無しになるし、その分でもっと豪華な食事ができてしまう。
Had I paid twice, the value of that affordable lunch would have vanished, and I could have spent that extra money on a much more luxurious meal elsewhere.
相手が誰であれ、言われるがままに応じるのではなく、まずは自分の手元で事実を確認する冷静さが不可欠だと痛感した。
This incident reminded me that regardless of what a staff member says, I must always verify the facts on my own end before proceeding.
「自分のお金は自分で守る」という原則を改めて心に刻み、今後も徹底した自己管理を貫いていこうと思う。
