Spontaneous Train Adventures, Future Travel Plans, and Saving for Tomorrow

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

We watched the trains at the station near our apartment.

Just like yesterday, we saw freight trains pass by in front of us — the kind that aren’t listed on the timetable — and enjoyed spending time on the platform. Although the weather wasn’t great, it didn’t rain while we were at the station.

After having lunch at a nearby udon restaurant, my son asked to ride a train, so we took a short round trip to a station two stops away.

We actually wanted to go farther, but since it was a spontaneous idea, we kept it short this time. Before getting off the train, I promised my son that we’d go on a longer trip next time.

He accepted the promise and seemed satisfied with today’s short ride. So, we’ll keep enjoying these small adventures together for now — and in the meantime, I’ll keep saving money for future investments and bigger trips.

To be continued.
