You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
Due to strong winds during the day, the Shinkansen service was suspended until 6:00 p.m., and it was still very crowded when I headed home.
However, since I always board at the departure terminal and have experienced similar situations many times, I was able to secure a window seat as usual, even in this chaotic situation.
While riding the Shinkansen, it actually stopped between stations for a while. This was the first time that had happened since the major outage a few years ago. Even for someone like me, who rides the Shinkansen every day, this was a rare case.
Considering all of this, I feel that a work-from-home environment is incredibly valuable.
Even if unexpected events like train suspensions, power outages, or earthquakes occur, I can still walk home from my shared office—and for that, I’m truly grateful. To make the most of this opportunity, I’ve decided to allow myself more personal time. First, I’ll start by using it for exercise, as mentioned in the video I watched recently. I’ll talk more about that video in tomorrow’s diary.
To be continued.
