Early Morning Training, New Routines, and Lessons from a Millionaire’s Discipline

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

A few days ago, I read a book titled *”People Who Stay Below 10 Million Yen and Those Who Exceed It.”* The author is a branch manager at Goldman Sachs Investment Bank, and he has observed many millionaires—he’s one of them himself.

In the book, he mentions that he wakes up at 3:45 a.m. every day and goes for a run as part of his daily routine. What amazed me even more is that he keeps this routine not just on weekdays, but also on weekends and even while traveling.

I was surprised by his strong mental discipline to stick with that habit, especially considering how much busier and higher-ranked he is than I am. It made me realize that if he can do it, so can I.

So I decided to give it a try. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. and trained on the stairs of my apartment for 40 minutes.

Thanks to the early workout, I fell asleep on the Shinkansen during my commute. Because I slept well, I was able to stay focused at the office. To make this a habit, I’m planning to continue this new morning routine.

To be continued.
