You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
After work, while in the elevator, I was searching my bag for my wallet to grab some ramen for dinner—only to realize I had left it at home.
Even though I was craving ramen, forgetting my wallet was a major mistake. Even in Tokyo’s metropolitan area, most ramen shops don’t accept cashless payments—you need cash.
I gave up on going to the ramen shop I originally had in mind and tried two others that I thought might accept cashless payment. Unfortunately, both were cash-only, and I couldn’t go in.
In the end, I went to the Jiro-style ramen shop *Butayama* at Tokyo Station, where I was luckily able to pay cashless and didn’t even have to wait long.
If I had just gone straight to Butayama from the office, I could’ve caught my usual Shinkansen home.
Today just wasn’t my day. Still, at least I got to enjoy some good ramen. Everyone has days like this.
To be continued.
