来月の合宿に向けて寝台特急の切符を確保したが、前日に福岡出張が入ったためその利用を再考している。
I had secured a sleeper train ticket for next month’s retreat, but an unexpected business trip to Fukuoka the day before has made me reconsider my itinerary.
当初はこの出張を負担に感じていたものの、現場を自らの目で確認する絶好の機会だと捉え直した。
Although the trip initially felt burdensome, I have reframed it as an invaluable opportunity to conduct a firsthand inspection of the site.
さらにこの機を活かし、四万十市へ赴任した友人を訪ねる計画を立てて連絡したところ快諾を得た。
Seizing this chance, I reached out to a friend recently relocated to Shimanto City to plan a visit, and he gladly agreed to accommodate me.
この稀有な巡り合わせを最大限に活かすため、確保済みの切符は手放し四万十経由の行程を選択した。
To maximize this rare alignment of circumstances, I decided to release the reserved ticket and opt for a route via Shimanto instead.
ただし帰路の高松から東京へは必ず寝台特急を利用したいので、決して油断せず確実に座席を手配するつもりだ。
However, I am absolutely determined to take the sleeper train on my return journey from Takamatsu to Tokyo, so I will remain vigilant in securing the necessary reservations.
