Influenza, Meetup Cancellation, and Family Health Priorities

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

My son, who was full of energy all morning, suddenly lost his appetite and spiked a fever, which the doctor diagnosed as a highly probable case of influenza.

I was eagerly anticipating tomorrow’s meetup, but with strict guidelines prohibiting attendance if a family member is ill, I have no choice but to make the painful decision to withdraw.

The organizer is known to be strict, and while I fear this last-minute cancellation might jeopardize my standing for future events, adhering to the rules is the only professional course of action.

It is incredibly frustrating to forgo this opportunity due to circumstances beyond my control, but right now, my absolute priority must be my son’s recovery.

I intend to turn this disappointment into a constructive lesson, reinforcing the importance of basic hygiene like hand-washing to improve our family’s overall risk management.

To be continued.
