A 40-Minute Bus Ride for Tsukemen and the Joy of Shared Meals

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

Despite the abundance of restaurants at Minami-Senju Station, my child insisted on a specific Tsukemen shop, so we took a 40-minute bus ride just to satisfy that craving.

Although the unfamiliar bus route caused some mild anxiety, arriving past the lunch peak was a stroke of luck, allowing us to be seated immediately without waiting.

We strategically opted to share a single “extra-large” serving, which proved to be the perfect amount to leave us both fully satisfied.

We capped off the outing with donuts for dessert; indulging my child’s persistence turned out to be the recipe for a perfect day.

I realized that prioritizing genuine desire over mere convenience—even if it demands a detour—drastically increases the quality of our time off.
