今日は、現地でお世話になった先生の送別会と称して、いつものとんかつ屋さんで豪華にすき焼き！
I had dinner at our favorite pork-cutlet shop with a teacher friend I met at the project site, but we opted for sukiyaki for his farewell party.
もちろん、費用は会社持ち。事前申請はしてないから、どうなるかわからないけど、ぐだぐだ言われたら文句言ってやるつもり。どうせその頃には退職するかどうかも決まってるだろうし、もう好きなようにやってやると決めた。
Obviously, the payment was covered by my company as an entertainment expense. Even though I didn’t receive approval from my boss in advance, I would challenge him if he denies my request for reimbursement. At this point, whether or not I decide to leave my current job, I’ve resolved to act according to my own desires.
肝心のすき焼きは、絶品だった。さすがお肉屋さんだけあって、乗り過ぎなくらいの霜降り、柔らかくて食べ応えも十分。おまけに、エビフライもついて、肉と海鮮を両方堪能できた。
The sukiyaki beef was incredible. Since the shop specializes in meat, the beef was well-marbled and perfectly tender. Additionally, they served delicious fried shrimp. It was a delightful experience enjoying both mountain cuisine and seafood together.
先生とは、まだお会いして半年しか経ってないけど、十分濃密な時間を過ごしてきた。わたしにとって、あの出前授業は最高の思い出だし、それがこの短期間で実現できたのは、先生の献身的なサポートがあったからこそ。
Although I only spent half a year with him, our relationship is meaningful to me. The session at his school was invaluable, and it was his dedicated support that allowed us to organize it within such a short timeframe.
本当に楽しい時間であった。次のサイトでも同じことができるよう、全力を尽くすのみ。
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him, and I’m determined to focus on my tasks at my next company to create similar opportunities.
