先日、応募した英訳業務。先方からメールがきた。
I got an email back from the person I applied to for the translation job a few days ago.
かなりしっかりしたメールだったので、朝から驚いてしまった。
When I checked it out, I was surprised because the email was very formal.
わたしは、友達の軽い感じの依頼だとばっかり思っていたが、決してそんなことはなかった。
I thought this would be a casual offer but it’s not.
依頼は週20時間以上。報酬は成果に応じて、ということなので、やってみないと判断が難しい。
I have to work for more than 20 hours per week and my pay is dependant on my performance. So, I don’t know how much I can get as a reward.
いずれにせよ、はじめての案件受注なので、安くても自分の実力が通じるかどうかを試してみたい。
Anyway, since this is my first job as a freelancer I want to give it a try.
妻には土日も育児に入れないことを了承してもらったし、来月末までの期間限定なのでがんばりたい。
I have already got permission from my wife to work on weekends and it will be until the end of November. I’m ready and I will do my best.
