I went to a meetup at the Rybecity Shimbashi office today with a friend, which was my first visit in a long time. It feels like it’s been at least half a year, maybe even a whole year since I last dropped by. We decided to join one of their weekly events, which is more focused on casual conversation rather than a specific topic.
When we arrived, the place was buzzing with energy, and it seemed like a group of regulars were chatting and laughing together. The atmosphere was really welcoming, and we were able to easily join in on the conversations. It felt comfortable, almost like I hadn’t been away for so long.
I met someone particularly impressive there who managed to gain a thousand followers on social media in just one year. What’s more, he had recently quit his corporate job to take over his family’s business. Hearing his story was truly inspiring and gave me a lot to think about.
It’s so refreshing to hear from people who aren’t on the typical corporate ladder. Rybecity is one of the few places where you can get these kinds of real-life stories, and I’m really grateful for that. It makes me even more determined to reach my own goal of financial independence.
For now, my main focus is to increase my salary to get closer to my FIRE goal. However, today’s conversations reminded me of the importance of networking. To keep my motivation high for my side hustles, I think it’s crucial to continue engaging with this community.
To be continued.
