家族で鉄道博物館へ。今回は子どもの「行きたい！」の一言で急きょ決行。
I went to the Railway Museum in Omiya with my family. This trip was our son’s request, and we only decided to go the day before.
節約のため、駅弁ではなく妻の手作り弁当。鉄道グッズの容器で気分も満点。
To save money, we brought our own lunch boxes, including our son’s container and his Shinkansen lunch box, instead of buying them at the museum. He was very excited about bringing his lunch box.
食べ慣れた味なのに、場所が変わるだけでこんなにも美味しく感じるとは。
Even though we are used to my wife’s cooking, we realised that our lunch tasted even more delicious than when we eat it at home.
東武鉄道のお仕事体験は「早い者勝ち」と知らず、受付終了の表示にガックリ。
I didn’t know that some of the events at the museum, like the work experience for kids, were on a first-come, first-served basis. When I checked the app, applications had already closed, so I was disappointed.
日曜の混雑もあり抽選は全滅。次回はもっと確実に楽しめる戦略が必要だ。
We also lost the other event lotteries due to the Sunday crowds. I’ll keep in mind that next time I should research a strategy beforehand to enjoy the day fully.
