地元で開催されたリベ友とのランチ会に参加。
I recently went to a Live City lunch meetup in my hometown.
10名という大人数での食事会にもかかわらず、大味にならずとても楽しい時間になった。住んでいる地域が近く、年齢層も同じような人たちが集まったからだと思う。
Even though there were ten of us, I really enjoyed the engaging conversations with the other members. I think we had such a good time because we live in the same city and are from the same generation.
楽しい時間になったけど反省が１つ。それは、リベ活にもかかわらず、資産形成や家計管理の話をせずに終わったこと。ただの食事会でも楽しいけど、それは個人的な感想であり、新しく入ってきた人にとっては、あまり有益な会にはならないと思う。
Despite it being a fun time, I had one takeaway from the meetup. I realized I didn’t talk about asset building or managing household budgets, even though it was a Live City event. While I personally enjoyed lunch with such great company, I wondered if others, especially newcomers, might not have found it as useful since it wasn’t directly related to their financial assets.
前回の仙台でのオフ会で学んだ通り、少しはリベらしい話題もしなければならないなと思ったのが反省。次からは気をつけたい。
As I learned from the Sendai meetup last month, I should have brought up money topics to align with the group’s philosophy. I’ll definitely reflect on this for next time.
