ボーナス支給日。
Today was my bonus day.
すでに金額はわかっていたので、明細を確認するのみだと思っていた。しかし、実際に見てみると、思っていた以上に金額が少ない。
Since I already knew the amount from an email, I thought I’d just check the details quickly. However, when I looked at the breakdown, the actual amount I received was lower than I expected.
税金がたくさん引かれていた。ネットで調べてみると、給与と異なる計算方法であり、正直、よくわからない。
A large portion of my bonus was deducted for taxes. According to what I found online, the calculation method for bonuses is different from regular monthly salaries, and it’s so complicated that I couldn’t fully understand it.
にしても、1/3以上税金が引かれていて、月収よりも少なかったのは驚いた。
Still, I was shocked that my bonus ended up being less than my regular monthly paycheck due to a tax deduction of over 33%.
おかげで、またモチベーションが下がった。もうこの会社にはいられない。早く辞めたい。次の会社でも不満はあるだろうけど、やりたいこと、将来につながることだと思ってがんばる。海外駐在を掴むまでは。
After seeing that, my motivation to work dropped significantly. I honestly want to leave my current company as soon as possible. Even if I face some challenges at the next job, I’ll stay focused because it’s a step toward my ideal career path—and ultimately, my goal of working overseas.
