You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
I had dinner with a former colleague who used to work with me and is currently working at the company that recently invited me to return.
Over Jiro-style ramen, the purpose of tonight’s dinner was to hear his honest opinion about the company—its issues and how things have changed since I worked there. We chose Butayama because we both love Jiro-style ramen.
While waiting in line, we caught up and talked about our jobs.

Honestly, I’d be a little disappointed to take a significant pay cut. However, the income would be about the same as when I worked at my second previous company, which isn’t too bad. Even though I make more money now, the role itself is quite boring—and I don’t feel like I’m growing in terms of skills. I’ll carefully consider my situation and whether or not I should make the move.
To be continued.
