いつも通りに電車を見に息子と大宮駅へ。
As usual, I went to Omiya Station with my son to watch the trains.
新幹線ホームから在来線ホームへ行く途中にある駅弁屋に昼飯の参考に立ち寄ってみると忘れかけていた商品が。そうJR貨物コンテナ弁当である。
On our way from the Shinkansen platform to the local train platform, we stopped by a lunchbox shop to look for our lunch and stumbled upon a lunchbox I had almost forgotten about—the JR Cargo Container Bento.
それを見つけると、長男もわたしも大興奮。もう絶版になっていたはずなのに、まさか、こんなところで出会うとは。
When we found it, both of us were really excited. I thought they had already sold out, so I never imagined we’d come across it here.
電車を１時間ほど見た後、ホームから立ち去ろうとしたときにも長男は覚えていた。弁当全３種を１つずつ購入して帰宅。
After watching trains on the platform as planned, my son remembered the container bento and reminded me to pick it up. So, we ended up buying three different types and headed home.
家に帰るまでの道中、電車を見ていたとき以上に興奮していた長男。数ヶ月探し求めていたものが手に入り、わたしも満足。今日はいい１日だった。
He was more excited about the bento during the Shinkansen ride than he was about watching the trains at the station. I was also really pleased since I had been searching for these bento boxes for a few months. Today was a great day for both of us.
