Shifting Focus: Studying Electricity Regulations to Enhance My Skills as a Development Manager

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

After my performance review, I felt it was finally time to start studying electricity again.

Since I earn a good salary as an office worker, the effort of studying should balance out my income eventually.

However, I’m not going to focus on theory or formula calculations. Instead, I’ll study the rules and regulations related to electricity as a development manager.

I discussed this with a colleague who has the First-Class Chief Electrical Engineer certification, and he mentioned that the certification is mainly necessary for those working in O&M and power plant management. Furthermore, in the worst-case scenario, we can always rely on subcontractors for calculations.

In other words, I should focus on learning the current regulations for electricity rather than spending time studying for the Chief Electrical Engineer certification. This effort will enhance my skills as a development manager.

To be continued.
