先月発覚した確定申告のミスを、税務署に行って訂正申告してきた。
I went to the tax office to reclaim my tax return, which I discovered last month.
昨夜のオールから直行である。新幹線ではなく、在来線で帰ることで寝る時間を確保し、書類を自宅でピックアップして向かった。
I visited the office directly after staying up all night. To secure some sleep, I chose to take a local train back to my hometown, picked up the application at home, and then headed to the office.
現地では、全くテキパキ働かないおじさんに待たされ、終わったのは12時過ぎ。挙げ句、申告内容について、詳しく聞かれ、ちょっとした税務調査のようだった。
Since the officer handling my case didn’t work quickly or efficiently, I was only able to leave the office after noon. Moreover, he questioned me thoroughly about the details of my claim, almost like a tax investigation.
めんどうなことこの上ない。できる限り彼らと会わないように、次回からはミスがないように申告内容を事前によく確認する。
There’s nothing more troublesome than this. To avoid missing information and unnecessary hassle, I’m going to confirm my claim details in advance so I can minimize interactions with the tax office.
とはいえ、当初の目的は達成できたし、申告内容をキレイにできたのでよかった。これをバネに、副業でも収入をアップさせて、生活費とクルマ代の足しにしたい。
Anyway, I achieved my original purpose and cleaned up my old tax return application. Using this lesson, I’m going to increase my annual income so I can afford my new car.
