次の転職面接が来週の月曜日に決まった。
The second round of the interview has been scheduled for next Monday.
今度の面接官は、APAC部門長で英語面接。日本でのPM部の部長が現在不在のため、兼務されていて、同週に来日するタイミングでの対面での面接である。
The interviewer will be the APAC manager, and the interview will be conducted in English. Since the head of the department at the Japanese branch has left the company, the APAC manager has temporarily taken on dual roles. Hence, he will conduct my interview during his visit to Japan.
対面なのはありがたいけれども、英語面接なのが気になるところ。エージェントに通訳をつけるのはありかを相談してみたが、止めたほうがいいと言われた。
While I would prefer a face-to-face interview, I am concerned about the English aspect. I discussed with my recruitment consultant the possibility of having an interpreter present during the interview, but he advised against it.
なので、もう練習するしか残された道はない。なんとしても英語で切り抜ける。エージェントが言ってくれた通り、カンタンな英語と表現を駆使して臨む。
Therefore, my focus now is on practicing the questions and answers in English. I am determined to succeed in the interview using English. Following my recruitment consultant’s advice, I plan to communicate with the interviewer using simple English explanations.
これまでの経験の中で、全部英語でかつ、通訳がつかない面接は次が初めてである。なんとしても乗り越えて、内定をもらいたい！
This will be my first experience with an entirely English interview without an interpreter. I am determined to succeed and secure the offer letter from the company.
