今日は、都内に住む地権者の自宅にお邪魔し、事業の説明、土地利用の可否について、ご挨拶をしてきた。
I swung by the landowner’s place in Tokyo with my junior to lay out our project’s details and the potential use of her land.
結果２回目の訪問でお会いできた。会うことができたのは大きいけど、結果はあまりいいものではなかった。
Excitingly, we managed to secure a face-to-face with her on our second visit. While the initial meet was a plus, the outcome of our discussion fell a bit short.
風車を含めた再生可能エネルギーに対し理解はあるものの、持っている土地を使わせるつもりはない、と突き返されてしまった。
Despite her grasp of the importance of renewable energy, specifically wind turbines, she’s not thrilled about having her land play host to them. She flat-out turned down our proposal.
地権者の方は、女性でかつ、個人で事業をされているように感じた。というのも、意見をハッキリいう人で、周りの他地権者がOKしてるよ、っていうアイディアも使えなさそう。
This landowner, a business-savvy woman, made her stance crystal clear, and trying to sway her by leveraging other landowners’ agreements seems like a non-starter.
連絡先も聞けなかったので、まずは使えないものとしてPJを進める必要がありそう。進捗次第で、再度話をしたり、地権者が知人などから話を聞いたりして理解を示してくれる可能性を信じて、まずは今できることを進めたい。
Without her contact info in hand, we’re temporarily stuck and need to rejig our layout sans her land. We’re hoping our continued progress might work in our favor — perhaps through another chat or by word of our advancements reaching her through the grapevine. Time to laser-focus on what lies ahead.
