今日はオフィスマネージャーのお姉さんとランチに行ってきた。
I had lunch with the female office manager at my company.
彼女とは、先日、ランチワインをした仲であり、そのときは話の流れでわたしが全ての支払いをした。その時の返礼ということで、今日は彼女からのお誘いであり、近くのてんぷら屋に行ってきた。
Previously, we’d shared a lunch with wine alongside the old office manager, during which I covered the bill as a conclusion to our discussions. As a gesture upon her return, she proposed another lunch, and this time, we opted for a tempura restaurant close to the office.
目の前で揚げてくれるタイプの天ぷら屋。値段もものすげー高かったけど、そこまでかしこまっているわけでもなく、普通に会話を楽しみながら天ぷらを堪能できた。
This restaurant offers a service where the chef prepares the tempura right in front of us. Despite the relatively high price, the ambiance was informal, allowing us to enjoy delicious tempura while casually chatting, just like at regular restaurants.
肝心の話題は、会社のグチや先日辞めてしまった前オフィスマネージャーのこと。先輩の話を聞いていても、やはり現職はいい会社とは思えない。
Our main conversation revolved around our negative opinions regarding our company and the former office manager who resigned last summer. Despite hearing her views on our company, my perception of it didn’t change positively.
１つわかったことは、辞めるまで何があるかわからないので、火の粉が降りかからないようにしっかり防衛線を張っておく必要があること。面倒でも、忘れずに証跡は残すようにする。
However, I did learn one important thing from her—that I need to secure my responsibilities by obtaining clear directives from my boss, ensuring I can safeguard myself until my resignation. She mentioned it might be an extra task, but I’ll keep this advice in mind.
