Fine-Tuning for Success: Preparing for the School Session

今日は、会社のオフィスマネージャーにお願いをして、今度の出前授業で行う発表の予行練習に付き合ってもらった。

I asked my colleague, the office manager, to listen to the rehearsal for the upcoming session at the junior high school next week.

 

彼女は、中学生になり切って話を聞いてくれた。発表がわかりやすいといったシンプルで嬉しい感想だけでなく、話すスピードをゆっくりにしたほうがいいなど、的確なアドバイスをくれて、お願いしてとてもよかった。

She listened to my presentation as if she were a student and shared her feedback. She mentioned that the presentation was easy to understand and offered some very helpful advice, such as speaking slower. I was pleased with her feedback.

 

今週は社内でリハーサルも予定されているし、今回の出前授業はなんとしても成功させたい。

Not only do I have another rehearsal scheduled with the country manager and my senior manager for the presentation, but I’m also very keen on ensuring the success of the session for the junior high school teachers.

 

せっかく地元の方の協力により得られた機会、これを活かせるかどうかが今後のPJの進捗や自分のモチベーションに大きく影響すると思う。

This opportunity was extended by the teacher who has put in a lot of effort for the session. I strongly believe that the session’s outcome will influence both the progress of the project and my motivation for the work.

 

今後、地元の方々の前で話をすることも増えてくるはずなので、練習という意味も込めて臨みたい。

Since I’m certain that the number of interactions and requests with local citizens will increase at each phase of the project, I’m putting in effort to ensure the session serves as a good opportunity to network with the local community and also serves as practice for conducting sessions at schools myself.
