今年もジャパンカップが開催され、昨年同様にマンションの観覧席から観戦してきた。
The Japan Cup Cycle Road Race was held again this year, and I watched it from the bleachers at my apartment, just like last year.
なんだろう、見ていて、おもしろいのはおもしろい。しかし、ガッツリのめり込んでいるかと言われれば、そこまででもない。
Hmmm, I wonder why? The race was very exciting. However, I wasn’t as engaged in the race.
他に観戦している人たちのように、走っている選手を見ただけで名前や所属がわかるわけでもなく、ただ見ていて迫力や臨場感を楽しんでいるだけに等しい。
I couldn’t recognize each racer’s name and their team like other spectators. I simply felt and enjoyed the overall impression and presence of the race.
去年も書いたけど、やっぱりスポーツは観戦するよりも、自分でやるのが一番おもしろい。
Even though I wrote similar comments in my diary last year, I’d prefer to actively participate in sports rather than passively watching the game.
去年から今年にかけて、自分が目指す理想像に向かってしっかり成長できている。このままのペースを維持しつつ、ゴールをいち早く達成し、ロードバイクにまた乗りたい。
One thing I can say is that I’ve made progress towards my ideal goal since last year. I want to maintain this pace, achieve my goal, and get back on a road bike again.
