You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
I watched a video of a talk show hosted by a nonprofit corporation, Doctors Without Borders, which is an organization I aspire to join in the future.
The talk show featured an interview session with a member who worked in developing countries. I had initially planned to watch it live but couldn’t manage my time that day. Fortunately, they stored the video as a limited-time archive, so I was able to watch it later.
After watching the video, I realized that I shouldn’t expect the same annual income as in my current position because nonprofit organizations typically have lower salaries. The interviewee mentioned that she had to supplement her income by taking on part-time work.
I understand that I won’t be able to maintain my current income level if I join their team. However, the income drop might be more significant than I initially thought, making it challenging to join them until I’m close to achieving my financial goals.
On the bright side, I learned that the conditions and environment in the areas where their teams are assigned are relatively accommodating at first. This revelation eased my concerns and gave me some peace of mind.
To be continued.
