You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
I had a regular study session about electricity with my senior. Since his return date is set for the end of October, we only have a few sessions left.
During the session, I asked about the substation I visited during my last trip. The substation is situated halfway up a mountain near the wind turbines, and the access road is quite narrow, only suitable for a passenger car to pass through. I had concerns about whether transportation for a transformer could be executed in such conditions.
He assured me that it could be done even on a narrow road like the one I visited. In my project, I had originally planned to locate the substation near the connection point to the grid.
However, after the site survey, and with the increased number of turbines, it’s become clear that this plan isn’t the most economical or technically sound option.
Since a step-up transformer will be necessary, I now want to find a suitable location for the substation based on the insights gained during today’s study session.
To be continued.
