Festival Fun: Delicious Food, Colorful Cars, and a Delightful Evening

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

I finished my work a little earlier to attend the festival in the city.

Before heading to the festival, I decided to relax at the sauna and have dinner at a local Chinese restaurant.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant offered great service at reasonable prices, making it an excellent value for the quality of food they served. It’s becoming increasingly rare these days to find a ramen shop where you can enjoy both ramen and fried rice for under 1,000 yen. I plan to make regular visits to this restaurant whenever I’m in the city.

With a satisfied stomach, I proceeded to watch the festival’s eve. The festival cars were unveiled on this evening at the rest stop.

I quickly realized that festivals in the northern part of Japan are incredibly dynamic, with each car having its unique design and theme. According to the local residents, these festival cars draw inspiration from Hachinohe, one of the major cities in the northern region of Japan and located near the city I was visiting. I spent a delightful two hours observing the festival, and it was truly a fantastic experience.

To be continued.
