来週の出張の準備、先日現地のサウナで仲良くなった方に連絡をした。
As part of my preparations for the upcoming business trip, I reached out to a friend who lives in the city I’ll be visiting.
すると、彼から連絡があり、飲み会を開いてくれるとのこと。直接は関係なくても、現地の方とのネットワークを広げるいいチャンスであるので、二つ返事でOKした。
He responded by inviting me to join him for a drink, which I gladly accepted. I saw this as an excellent opportunity to network with locals in the area.
もともと、２人で焼き鳥を食べながら飲もうと話をしていたけど、そんなこんなで、今回は以前、オススメしてもらった寿司屋での会合になった。
Initially, it was just going to be the two of us going for a drink. However, he later decided to invite some of his close friends to join us, and now we’re planning to visit a sushi restaurant that he highly recommends.
いずれにしても、とても楽しみである。サウナのおかげで、現地でのネットワークづくりがとても有効に働いている。とてもうれしい。
I’m looking forward to meeting them and enjoying some delicious sushi. Thanks to my previous experiences, especially with the sauna, my networking strategy seems to be working effectively. I’m really pleased with how this situation is unfolding.
