今日は、地元のお祭りが開催され妹家族がわたしたちのマンションに遊びに来た。
My sister’s family came to our apartment to attend the local summer festival taking place right in front of our house.
コロナ以降、４年ぶりの開催ということもあり、想像以上の人出、道路は身動きができないくらいの盛況ぶりであった。
Since this festival was the first one held after the pandemic, there was a huge turnout, making it quite challenging to navigate through the crowded streets and food stands.
妹家族を迎えに行くときに道路に出ただけで、その後は我が家のマンションのお祭りのために開放されたスペースで時間を過ごした。
We managed to find our way to her family, and we spent our time at the deck area that was open to residents of our apartment during the festival.
始終、ほとんど誰も来なかったので我々で貸し切り。子供たちはお祭りそっちのけでずっと走り回っていた。
While on the deck, we were able to enjoy some private time. Our children didn’t show much interest in the festival and were happily running around and playing.
晩飯は、近くの中華料理屋さんでテイクアウトした料理を食べた。中でも冷やし中華がわたしの好み。次回はぜひラーメンにチャレンジしたい！
For dinner, we ordered takeout from the Chinese restaurant near our apartment. I particularly enjoyed their chilled Chinese noodles, and I’m looking forward to trying them at the restaurant itself in the future.
