今年になってずっと探していたエジプトで作ってもらった銅の名刺入れ、今朝の瞑想中にしまった場所をふと思い出し、探してみるとそこにあった。
I have been searching for a copper business card case that was made while I was in Egypt since the beginning of this year. This morning, during meditation, I remembered where I had put it and found it in a drawer.
久しぶりに開けると、エジプトで使っていた名刺が出てきた。とても懐かしい。
When I opened it, I found my old business cards from Egypt, which brought back memories.
中身を取り出そうと開けたら、蝶つがいが外れて壊れてしまった。せっかくの思い出の品なので使いたいと思い、自宅近くで直してもらえるところを探して訪ねてみたが、結果は惨敗。
However, I noticed that the case had come off its hinges when I tried to pick up the cards. Since the case holds precious memories for me, I wanted to repair it and continue using it. I searched for a repair shop near my apartment, but none of them accepted my order.
ネットで探して、ようやく１件見つけることができた。ただ、ここもモノを見てみないと修理できるかはわからないとの回答なので、修理できることを期待して名刺入れを預けた。
After further searching online, I finally found a craftsman who was willing to take on the repair. He mentioned that he couldn’t guarantee the repair until he examined the case. Despite this uncertainty, I had high hopes for his skills and decided to send the case to him.
せっかく作った名刺入れなので、ぜひとも修理してもらいたい。
I am really looking forward to having it repaired by him.
