You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
Two days ago, while commuting to the office, I read a book that emphasized the importance of analyzing the reasons for success in order to become successful.
It made me pause and reflect on the reasons behind my own success in job interviews. I closed the book and pondered this question during my Shinkansen ride.
Upon reflection, I realized that there were two key factors that contributed to my success. Firstly, I dedicated ample time to practice and prepare for the interviews. Secondly, I was able to effectively convey my genuine interest in the company. These two tips, in my opinion, summarize the most crucial elements for a successful job change.
Since I cannot fabricate my experience, the key lies in how I can effectively utilize and showcase my strengths to the interviewers. Conducting a personal inventory of my life experiences proved helpful in identifying my strong points.
Armed with this self-awareness, I was able to confidently discuss these strengths during the interviews. I believe this approach worked well for my interviews, particularly in a Japanese context. However, I also acknowledge that luck played a role in my success during English interviews. Overall, the book and my reflections have reinforced the importance of thoughtful preparation and leveraging my strengths in order to achieve success in job interviews.
To be continued.
