今回の転職について、エジプトでお世話になったPMに話を聞いてみた。
I spoke with my former project manager, who worked with me in Egypt, about my job change.
その中で、わたしのポジションで求められるであろう知識、能力について説明を受けた。
He explained to me the expected knowledge and skills for the position I’m applying for.
ただ、その分野に関して、同じ業界で仕事をしてきたにも関わらず、これまで経験がないことから、自分の中で全く知識がない。
After our conversation, I realized that I lack both the knowledge and experience in the specific field, even though I have been working in the same industry.
とはいえ、ルールに則ってできるかどうか、ということなので、まずはルールブックを買って勉強してみては、とアドバイスをもらった。
Based on his understanding, my new job will involve designing equipment in compliance with the grid code. He advised me to purchase and read the Japanese grid code.
わたしとしても、今回の転職はぜひとも掴みたいと思っているので、話を終えた後にルールブックを購入した。これまでも何度か読んだことがあるが、しっかり読み込んだことはなかったので、これを機会に覚悟を決めて、自分の知識にしたい。
Eager to seize this opportunity, I immediately purchased the book after our discussion. Although I have read the book before, my previous experiences were just surface-level. Now, I am committed to acquiring the necessary skills and reading it more thoroughly.
