I was wined and dined by our business clients with my colleagues.
新しい会社で、かつ東京で接待を受けるのは初めてである。
This was the first time getting an offer like that at my current company.
銀座で食べる料理はたしかにおいしかったし、場所もオシャレなところであるのは間違いない。
I’m 100% sure that the awesome place in Ginza, because of the meals and atmosphere is one of the most luxurious areas in Japan.
しかし、それはある程度予測できたこと。接待中は、相手方の話をずっと聞いていて、楽しい時間とは言い難い。
However, I was able to assume the quality of the food and place. We were listening to their senior members during the treatment. It was hard to say that I enjoyed the party.
所詮、やってることは昔と全く変わらない。であれば、飲みたくもないお酒を初対面の人と飲むよりも、大切な友人といっしょに時間を過ごした方がずっとよかったと思った。
Nothing changes for entertainment since the old days. I wasted my time having drinks that I don’t want to drink with someone I just met. I should have spent the time with friends or family.
