転職後の経過報告として、前職でお世話になった人たちに連絡をした。
As a report of my progress after I changed my job, I sent messages to my ex-colleagues working at the previous company.
返事をしてくれた人の中に英語を勉強している、という後輩がいた。
Some gave me their reply and one of them told me that she has been studying English.
その人は、わたしが前職にいたときから海外事業に興味があり、どんな仕事しているのか教えてほしい、と当時連絡してきた人でもある。
She was the one who was interested in working overseas and asked me to tell her about my job when I was assigned to the project in Egypt.
そんな彼女へ返信文として、わたしのこれまでの経験や失敗からアドバイスを並べるうち、メールがとても長くなってしまった。
Based on my experiences and failures, I wrote a draft reply for her and the message was very long.
送るべきか悩むところだが、わたしにできるのはこれくらいしかないので、一晩考えて送るかを決めたい。
Even though I was worried about whether I should send a long message to her, that was the only thing I could do for her. I will decide after sleeping on it.
